For Ages 12-18

Kids and teens are invited to explore all their artistic inclinations and creativity with Teaching Artist, Jessica Held. This series of five classes features projects inspired by renowned artists, exploring a variety of media and art processes. Students bring their own ideas, curiosity, and interests to inform their work, and all other materials are provided.

Edvard Munch's "The Scream" is an icon of modern art and students in this class will take inspiration from the painting's compelling distortion of form. Working with colorful oil pastels, students will transfer drawings to clay, allowing their image to be similarly stretched and moved by hand with a tactile material.

The Dairy Barn Arts Center is a Qualified Education Service Provider (QESP) with the Ohio Afterschool Child Enrichment (ACE) Educational Savings Account program.
