Color and creativity come together in these exciting classes designed for young artists aged 8-12. During these weekend workshops, youth participants will dive into the world of watercolor painting with Teaching Artist, Jean Vandervaart. 

Watercolor techniques offered in the Rainbow Brushes classes will vary and support both new and returning students' continued growth. These include...

• Using washes and flooding the paper
• Blending vibrant colors and creating color gradients
• Special effects from salt and other materials
• Masking with tape or crayon
• Color lifting methods

Whether a budding artist or someone who just loves to get creative, this class offers a supportive and inspiring environment for all skill levels. We invite kids to expand their imagination with watercolor and supplies/materials are included with registration!
