Teens are invited to be part of the excitement as The Dairy Barn prepares for Quilt National ‘25! In this five-class series led by Teaching Artist Jessica Held, students will start by exploring past Quilt National catalogs for inspiration. As they learn about the history of art quilts, they’ll examine the colors, patterns, and compositions that bring bold, modern designs to life.

Participants will then create their own quilt squares using paint and durable materials designed to stand the test of time. One artwork will be theirs to keep, while the other will be installed on The Dairy Barn’s outdoor patio, just in time for the Quilt National ‘25 exhibition opening on May 23rd.

This class is a great opportunity for creative teens to make art, connect with others, see Quilt National ‘25, and leave a lasting mark on The Dairy Barn!
