For Ages 12-18

School’s out! Come to The Dairy Barn for a clay day! This one-day class will give participants a chance to explore the fun muddiness of throwing on a potter’s wheel.

Students will learn the fundamentals of centering, opening up a form and pulling walls. From there, creativity with the plasticity of clay abound, shapes can be altered, surface textures explored and accessories attached. The last part of the class will have participants adding colorful glazes to their creations. Finished pieces will be fired in the kiln to be picked up at a later date.
