For Ages 16+
Immerse yourself in figure drawing as you explore traditional and contemporary perspectives on the human form. This course is primarily hands-on, focusing on capturing the human figure and its anatomical subtleties. Areas of study include anatomy, gesture, light, shadow, drapery, and the flow and character of the human form. You will experiment with various dry media, such as charcoal, Conté, and graphite.
This course is designed for artists at any stage—beginner, intermediate, or advanced—and supports each student’s unique creative journey. By the end, students will complete a final project that showcases their growth and accomplishments in figure drawing.
Figure Drawing students will work from a live, clothed model at each session. Participants bring their own 18" x 24" Drawing Pad with at least 24 sheets of 80 lb. weight paper. All other materials will be supplied.
