For Ages 16+
Designed for students with prior painting experience, this course offers a deeper dive into painting fundamentals while encouraging experimentation. Working in oil, participants will explore color, value, scale, and composition through intentionally designed still life setups.
Each class blends guided exercises with individual feedback, helping students strengthen what they know and try new techniques with confidence. While the class focuses on oil painting, concepts can apply to any color medium! Perfect for painters ready to refine their skills and develop a more intentional, expressive style.
Topics include:
- Creating form through color and value
- Building strong compositions with scale and perspective
- Managing tools, materials, and color palettes effectively

B455 Family Art Workshop
with Missy Whaley
Family Arts Workshop: Gather with us for a hands-on, heart-centered workshop inspired by Ora Anderson’s love of nature and Waldorf traditions. Children and caregivers will create simple felt birds, flowers, and other nature-inspired artworks together, contributing to a large collaborative mobile for the upcoming See Touch Build Exhibition. After the exhibition, all artworks will be returned to their makers.
Create side by side with your child in a warm, welcoming space.
Cost: $20 per child. Parent/guardian is free. Please register each child. Youth scholarships are available.
