This class has a pre-scheduled inclement weather make-up date on Saturday, Feb 1st from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Participants are asked to keep their availability open for this date as well, should it be needed.

Underglaze transfer is a great way to integrate custom, colorful designs onto clay surfaces! Teaching Artist, Cynthia Carbone welcomes all experience levels for this versatile ceramic surface design technique. Students will use ceramic underglazes to paint unique designs onto newsprint and then transfer that artwork to a clay slab.

This workshop utilizes project-based learning and students will learn both to decorate and construct their clay slabs into handbuilt cylinder forms, a great structure for cups, small planters, pen holders, and more. Students’ underglaze-decorated objects will be fired and finished with a clear glaze, ready for pick-up at The Dairy Barn in 2-3 weeks. All tools and materials for this workshop are included with registration.
